NEW BNEI MITZVAH GROUP

On September 15, we inaugurate a new venture for Bnei Mitzvah and their parents to make this milestone more meaningful. Each monthly session will be on Tuesday night, 5:45-8:00 p.m., and will include dinner. Each child will be given a Bnei Mitzvah Passport to record fulfilling the applications of each theme during the following month. Parents are expected to participate with their children. Sessions will be facilitated by Rabbi Michael Whitman, Assistant Rabbi Alex Zwiebel, Shawn Bramson, and Avi Gorin. Please contact Rabbi Whitman, and see here, for more information.

HEALTH PRECAUTIONS

The symptoms of swine flu appear to be similar to the symptoms of regular seasonal flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills, and fatigue. Some people have reported diarrhea and vomiting as well. If you get sick, stay home from work, synagogue, or school, and limit contact with others to avoid infecting them. If you notice that someone is exhibiting symptoms try to ensure that they stay home in order to minimize contagion. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective. You will now find hand cleaner at the entrance to our sanctuary. Please use it before you enter and when you leave.
